A bit of everything...

Last Sunday we went to hubby's union christmas party...the girls got to see santa and eat lots of cookies and candy...they love it!

 The other day I asked beanie where her sister was and she said "playing with lucy"...this is what I found...bird decided to dress lucy up...what a wonderful dog for putting up with these children!
 Lucy started her doggy period...can you say YUCK...!  Thank goodness I kept some of birds old diapers :)  We would have had her fixed months ago but our vet said she should go through a heat cycle...let's just say she is scheduled to get in ASAP!

 We made our first gingerbread house as a family...it was a ton of fun... {i love the way bird is looking at her daddy...so precious!}
 I had to run to the store this afternoon and I came home to this...bird was playing hide and seek with hubby and sis...I guess they took a little too long to find her :)
Hope you are having a great weekend!

Pardon the off center logo...my wonderful sis~n~law is working on my blog playing around with different designs {gosh I love her!}

Anywho...here are some pictures from our weekend... we carved a pumpkin, girls went to a birthday/costume party, made yummy chocolate chip cookies, hubby made homemade chicken noodle soup {stock and everything!}, and I have been sewing my little heart out getting ready for the craft fair this Saturday.  I can't believe that it's already here...I'm so excited to see how my sewing does and see if people like it!  Keep your fingers crossed that we do well!

Will keep you posted!
 Driving home Friday I decided to stop by the Grocery Outlet and check their pumpkin prices {we needed a large pumpkin to carve since the little ones the girls got on their field trips were too tiny}...to my surprise they were super duper cheap...$2.99 for any size pumpkin...and these things were huge.  I will definitely go there again next year!
 You are only able to see the icky side of the pumpkin...the front was perfectly shaped!

 Somewhere I had seen that a drill/hole saw was used to make perfect circles in a pumpkin...so hubby being his wonderful self got out the drill and went to town.  It looks wonderful and it was really easy!

 I love my beanie...she can never seem to keep her eyes open when a picture is taken...cracks me up every time!

Our Weekend...

We had a great & productive weekend!
We spent some time with baby Jack, hubby used the new carpet cleaner {love it!!!} , the girls played well together, and we finished painting the master bathroom {it's only been like 2 years...}!
 At the hospital Daddy made the kids glove balloons...they are still playing with them...
 Beanie wearing hubby's old cowboy boots...they add instant sass!
 The girls making funny faces...
 Bird can hardly do it cause she is laughing so hard...
 Hubby working hard cleaning the carpets...thank goodness Lucy is potty trained...no more pee pee carpet!
 Speaking of Lucy...she realized that Bird had left over yogurt on her face and had to have a taste {i'm sure my mom is having a heart attack right about now...sorry mom!} Bird laughed soooo hard!
 Lucy's hair is growing back beautifully...she can now leave the house during the day :)

 Leaving the hospital Hubby decided to act like the paparazzi and was taking an absurd amount of pictures...thought it might make him stop if I made a horrible face at him...didn't work...he continued...they get worse from here...

All about Jack...

I had a little giggle writing the title...it made me think of a Will and Grace episode where Jack started his own stage show called "Just Jack"... if you watched the show you will know why it's funny {I hope...}
 We have almost the whole cast of Will and Grace now...my neighbors kids are Will and Grace {not after the show...had to set the record straight on Emily's behalf} and now we have Jack...all we need is someone to name their kid Karen and we are set!

Anywho...

Here he is...beautiful baby Jack James {my girls call him Jack Jack}... they are in love...as am I!

A little Random...

 Long time no talk to...it's been a very exciting week around here...my little nephew was born Wednesday...Jack James and I'm in love!  He is absolutely wonderful!  I have forgotten my camera the two times I went to see him in the hospital...we will go again tonight and I promise not to forget it.  Tomorrows post will be all about Jack!

Until then here are some photos of our lazy {but fun} week...

Hubby was diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this week so he has been out of commission for awhile {on the mend now}
I put my grandmas china in the hutch and I love the way it looks with all the white!
 I got out the face paint and painted rainbows on the girls' cheeks...they were so happy!
 Here is my fab sis n law a couple of days before Jack arrived...love the baby bump!
 The girls spent one morning in their jammies and played games and colored on butcher paper that we laid on the floor...lots of fun!  Cousin Kelley stopped by and hung out with us {sorry there is no photo of sweet Kelley} the girls love her!
We also spent a couple days at the outdoor pool.  The girls had fun swimming in the foot deep pool while I caught a little sunshine...can't ask for anything better!

Hope you have a great weekend...I promise I will post some pictures of Jack tomorrow!

Yesterday...

We had a good day yesterday with the exception of Lucy's first grooming {see last picture}...

I moved the way to big coffee table out of the living room so the girls could get out all the blankets and pillows and have a good snuggle...we just might keep it this way :)  At least until I find another smaller $5 table...

And here's Lucy...I about died when I picked her up from the groomer...I'm sure my face said it all!  It was horrific!!!!

A little back story...I was given a recommendation from our vet so I made an appointment with them...I told my hubby how much it was going to be and he had a fit.  I told him if he could find a cheaper place then I would cancel my appointment...let me just tell you...you pay for what you get!  The price was too good to be true!  She doesn't even look like the same dog...she looks like an old poodle!  Hubby learned a lesson yesterday...and Lucy will only be walked in the dark until her hair grows...just kidding...well kinda...thank goodness hair grows :)
She is still our cute puppy and we love her!
Have a great rest of your week!

Bathroom Update & Happy 4th...

Happy 4th of July...hope you have a safe and fun holiday!

I have been itching to lighten up the downstairs bathroom...my friend Molly let me sample the color she uses in her home...Silver Sage from Restoration Hardware.  She had it colored matched at a local market and it turned out great!  I love this color!  It really brightened up this small space. Don't get me wrong...the color we had in there before was beautiful...I just wanted a different look.
 It looks really crisp against the white beadboard...
 Green goes well too...
 The insides of this cabinet {my dad made years ago...don't you just love it!?!} were unfinished so I got out some paint...looks a lot brighter and finished now.
 Love this stool my dad made for the girls...it is another piece of furniture that gets used multiple times a day {thanks dad!}
 Lucy went in for her shots last week...she is growing like a weed...16 1/2 pounds!
Grammy bought the girls new robes/swim cover~ups to use after swimming...they have been wearing them everyday :)
