{sicky and a yummy recipe}

Who would have thunk it...flu before school starts...go figure!  Hopefully this is it and she will be good for the rest of the year!  Hubby came down with the flu on Friday and then Beanie on Sunday.  The flu is a big bummer!  We have spent a ton of time on the couch watching tv and movies...me...I've been on Pinterest searching for new and yummy recipes!
Check out my boards...Maris King
  As we speak I'm trying a new chicken fajita recipe in the crock pot...it smells AMAZING...I will let you know how they turn out.
Also...I just finished making mini omelets.  Bird could hardly wait to try one...guess what...she loved them! Yaaaaaa...score for mom!  Now I just need Beanie to try one and like it to have them be a complete success.  My vision is that these little babies will be a breakfast or snack staple.  Bake ahead...got to love that!
 Mini Omelets
4 eggs
1/4 cup half and half
1/2 tsp salt
Whisk together
Coat a 6 cup muffin pan with non stick cooking spray and evenly distribute egg mixture into pan.  Add your choice of "mix ins"
I used bacon {cooked and chopped} chopped green peppers, and shredded cheese plus a little pepper
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes
I doubled the recipe so I could use my 12 cup muffin pan.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

{house paint}

 This weekend we were busy working on the exterior of the house...hubby had to replace the window trim on the second floor windows {got one done only thing left is the little window on the right}.  Our builder had put a little ledge on the front windows and that was a no no...last year we noticed that the inside of our window was pulling away from the wall...well because of the ledge it wasn't letting water drain out.  Hubby to the rescue!  So...this has given us the perfect opportunity to change the paint color {we have never liked the color of our house}.  We had planned to re paint the whole house a fabulous new color but decided it would be better for our budget to only change the trim.  Plus our wonderful neighbors a few houses down had some left over house paint and let us sample it and wouldn't you know...it looks really good!  I love how the stone totally pops now...it all looks so much brighter and bigger!  No more dark paint...yaaaaa!!!!
What do you think?

Hope you had a great weekend!

{little booth additions}

Well it's been 3 weeks since opening our little booth...we have had a ton of fun so far...and sold more then expected {always a bonus} During my treasurer hunting last week I spotted this side table and scooped it up...I knew all it needed was a good sanding a new paint job.
{before}
 {after}
{sorry for the blurry pic}
 I used Ben Moore Hale Navy...gave it a light sanding on the edges and added a fab Anthropologie nob.  It's at the antique mall if you are interested :)

I also added a whimsical mustache pillow...makes me chuckle every time I see it!
If you are in Oregon City and haven't already been to DJ's Antique Mall you must go!

Happy Thursday!
