The school germs hit me early this year...with both girls being in school and me volunteering a couple days in the classroom each week it was bound to happen.  I'm finally beginning to feel normal...

I got to spend some time browsing home photos at Better Homes & Gardens {my favorite} and decided to share...

Hope you are having a good week!

First Day of School Pictures...

Here they are...first day of school pictures...

So Beanie did not enjoy her first day of school...I think it was due to the fact that her class had 39 kids on the first day...thankfully there has been some movement and we are now down to 29 {still too many in my opinion!}  The second day of school was much better...I think she just needed to have a couple days to get used to all the changes and get settled...

After Birdies first day of school she came home and said "I don't want to go to school anymore...I want to be a baby and stay home with you!"  It broke my heart!   I knew she would have a hard time being away from me since we have been stuck together since she was born but I didn't think it was gonna be this bad...she has been very moody and angry...I'm really hoping she will be happier once our school routine gets in place!

 I couldn't leave Lucy out...
Hope you had a great weekend!

9/11

I had turned 22 two days before and took a few days vacation from work.  I remember sleeping in that day...my dear friend/room mate was home too.  In the morning we would always turn the tv on to the Today show while we got ready for the day...that morning was different...I turned on the tv as usual but the pictures and the commentary we watched were horrific, emotional, and rushed.  We sat there together in my bed for a long time trying to comprehend what was going on...it all seemed so chaotic and surreal!  How could this be happening...

We were glued to the tv all day...

I remember our large apartment complex having a gathering that night outside...so many people showed up...it always gives me chills when I remember how quite and polite we were to each other... it felt like time had stopped and we were all family...all grieving over the same loss.

My heart goes out to the families who lost their loved ones...we will never forget!

Today was Beanie's first day of school...she did not like it...more to come about that in the next post...
Anywho...
Last weekend the four of us rode the Oregon City Trolley...we had a blast!  It took about an hour and we learned a lot of history about Oregon City.  We highly recommend it!

A couple new goodies...

Here is the new chandelier we got for a steal!  I love the look it gives to the craft/guest bedroom!

 We found this beautiful antique mirror for $10 at a garage sale last weekend...I have been wanting a larger mirror in the downstairs bathroom and this was perfect.  It has a little gold accenting which I'm not to keen on but hubby likes it so it will be saved from the white paint {at least for now :}

The girls got to go to the kid salon yesterday and get there nails painted, a little make up, and hair styled...they had a blast!
Beanie picked out her eyeshadow and the way she wanted her hair done...beautiful girl...tons of glitter of course...

I can't believe how tiny Birds head is!?!   So darn cute!
Have a great week!
