Yes...more pillows

Wasn't yesterday beautiful!?!  I love it when I can leave my front door open and let the sunlight stream through!  It got me motivated...I made a few pillows out of this beautiful blue fabric...take a look.

The girls got to go to their first high school basketball game last night {our neighbor friend is one of the coaches}.  They had a blast!  Both little ones loved the band and got up and danced every time they played.  Of course I forgot my camera...darn!  It's amazing how old one can feel when they step inside a high school!  I'm just doing a little math in my head {don't laugh} and oh my god...I've been out of school for 14 years!!!  Where does the time go, I don't feel that old!  Anyways... James and I had a great time too and we will definitely go again!  Have a great Wednesday!  Modern Family is new tonight :) yay!

Ready for spring...

Winter seems to get harder and harder to get through!  As I get older I'm realizing how much the sun {or rain} affects my mood, even hubby has made comments about how nice it is to see the sun when it pops through.  I'm bracing myself with fact that we still have a few more months of rain...so in the meantime here are some sunny garden pictures to help lift the spirits.

Open Floor Plans...

When we bought this house 2 1/2 years ago I loved that fact that the downstairs was open concept.  Still do...but let me tell you it is really hard to decorate when you can see everything!  I miss having wall and corners in the kitchen!  Here are a few pics for those of you who have not seen our house {whom I kidding...you all have seen my house...just go with it}  Off to start sanding the dining room chairs...then white paint :)

I {heart} my sis-n-law...

I have the most amazingly talented sis-n-law!  She is a fab graphics designer and this comes in very handy {forget having a doctor in the fam, this is way better}!  I'm on the board at my daughters preschool so I hear about all the things that need updated or re~designed and I immediately think of my sis!  She has been so giving of her time and talent and has created the most amazing posters, brochures, and handbooks for the preschool...so "H" thank you for all that you have done for the preschool and for us!  You are wonderful, beautiful, creative, and the best auntie in the world!  We love you!

Changes...

I made some changes to my blog layout...I loved the font I was using but it seemed to be a little hard to read so I think I found a font that still has some style but is more clear.  Tell me what you think...

The sun is shinning through the clouds this morning making me wish for Spring to be here.  Spring brings my favorite flower...the peony!

I {heart} Nancy Meyers!!!

I have always been fascinated with Nancy Meyers movies and set designs!  I can remember going to the movie theater in my tweens {that wasn't even a word then...I'm getting old} and seeing Father of the Bride.  I fell in love!  She makes movies that are visually beautiful, classic, wholesome, and funny.  A few months ago I had to buy the DVD version of Baby Boom because I only had it on VHS {classic}...my little ones love watching this movie and so do I!  Now added to my favorites are Somethings Gotta Give, It's Complicated, and The Holiday...the set designs are out of this world.  Here are a few of my favorite pics from her movies...

New Additions and Gum...

I was busy last night sewing pillows and placemats.  I love my new fabric!  Take a look and tell me what you think!  Oh...one more thing...my oldest got to chew gum for the first time...she was over the moon about it {can u tell}!!! She makes me smile!
