Busy Weekend...Part 2

Alright...part 2...

We planted the tomatoes and lemon cucumbers...and added the chicken wire around the raised bed {...thanks to Lucy!}

I spent a lot of time in the craft room sewing for a friend...I {love} spending time in this room!  It's bright and stuffed with pretty things :)

Busy Weekend...Part 1

As I started writing this post...I realized this will have to be a 2 part~er...I have just too much info/photos to share for one post.

We had a very productive weekend once again!  Hubby and my dad built a fence to keep the dog out of the girls' play area...it looks great...actually makes the space look bigger!  Hubby modified the dog run gate too...making it so Lucy can't get through :)  My mom and I bought some veggie plants and beautiful peonies  at the farmers market {will show pictures later of the raised bed...plus the trellis' that hubby made}...will be in part 2

I have been wanting a file folder wall organizer {found one at Ballard...too spendy} so hubby made me one :)  Thank goodness for marrying a handy man!  We will add some pretty trim around it to finish it off but I wanted to show it off now...not bad huh?  We didn't have to buy anything...hubby had it all in the garage!

I have been busy sewing goodies for my friend...will get pics of that too as soon as I'm all finished {part 2}

Phew...that is all I have for now...will post part 2 very soon!

New Casters...

We were at Home Depot buying boring stuff {wood, nails, and bark mulch} and came across these great casters for the hutch for super chap {$12}...couldn't resist!  We love how it looks!  It raised the hutch up at least 2 1/2 inches...it looks more like a hutch instead of a table now...

A few changes around the house...

Thought I would talk about something other than the pup... {lucy has been a little sick and we have shed some tears trying to figure out what is going on with her...hopefully she is on the mend, happy, and healthy}. 

Enough about that...here are a tiny projects I did before pup arrived...

 We planned to frame the mirror but in an effort to conserve money I made a banner {yes...I know they are all over the house!} and I think it looks pretty darn cute!

 I could never find a note pad when I was on the phone...so I added a chalkboard.  It looks a little full but it's practical and I like it :)

 I took off the ugly tan bed spread {finally} and made some adjustments to the way I made the bed with the new cover...it needed the contrast of the opposite side so now I have it folded by the pillows {looks much better} plus I added a fun printed pillow!

This is the bench that was originally by the front door then got moved to the master when we purchased the fab hutch.  I have always wanted a couch at the foot of my bed...this will have to do for now.

More Lucy Pictures...

So darn sweet... 

I'm still in the honeymoon stage...so I'm not gonna tell you about the accidents in the house, the whining at night, the dingle berry's I had to wash off her rump, or the slug incident...I will save that for later :)  Until then how about we oohhh and aahhh over her cuteness...

 We put Lucy in the dog run to see if she would potty...it didn't take her more than a minute to figure out that her head could fit through the gate and she could be free...

 Success!  Head fits through...

 Now a leg and she is out!  Hubby modified the gate so this will not happen again :)

Totally random picture...hubby brought a watermelon home for dinner and I was so surprised when I saw hearts after cutting into it...I think it's pretty!

She's Home...

Not a lot of time to write...just wanted to get some pics out.  Lucy did great last night...way better than I was expecting!  Will tell you all about it later..

Dog bed/pillows...

 I had some smaller pieces of fabric...so I made a couple dog pillows for Lucy's family room bed.  I stuffed them with old blankets and they feel so squishy and cozy...I hope she loves them as much as I do!

Wish us luck...we go pick Lucy up after dinner :)
